As some of you may know, I'm a student of Bocconi University currently writing my master thesis on crowdfunding.
For the ones not familiar with the concept of crowdfunding, in 2010 Lambert and Schwienbacher defined crowdfunding as
"an open call, essentially through the Internet, for the provision of financial resources either in form of donation or in exchange for some form of reward and/or voting rights in order to support initiatives for specific purposes."Which basically means that a crowd of people, rather than a bank, finances other people projects and/or dreams.
A nice pic of how crowdfunding works |
The core of my thesis project is to find out which is the profile of the average "funder", thus individuals, startups, NGOs and companies willing to undertake crowdfunding campaigns would know to who direct their communication efforts.
Thus, I'm going to use this post to share insides about crowdfunding and suggestions on how to reach as many funders as possible and obtain the necessary number of answers to my survey.
In fact, more answers I collect more accurate my study will be.
Here is the link you can use to fulfill the questionnaire:
And there will be a free post card from Italy from everyone that will complete the questionnaire.
Please feel free to comment with any doubt you may want to share and to share this page through any social network to help me with my thesis project.
Have you already finished the thesis? Well, it is certainly rare to see a master thesis that deals with crowd funding. It would certainly be hard to find graduate thesis to help your paper make it shape. Anyway, seeing how you plan it, I bet your paper is already in full swing.
